Shetty Dairy & Agro Farms

Shetty Dairy & Agro Farms is situated on Middle Street. We are at number 4/22 in Keelmampattu, which is part of Panruti taluk. We are mostly about the cows and the land. It’s a lot of hard work, starting well before the sun comes up. Milk doesn't wait for anyone. We have a small crew that helps with the feeding and the cleaning. It’s a dirty job sometimes, but we enjoy being outside. The air in Keelmampattu is fresh, and that's good for the animals. We also do some farming on the side, growing what we can. Panruti is famous for its jackfruit and cashews, but we stick to our dairy and crops. The middle street can get a bit busy with people moving about, but our farm is our little world. We don't use any fancy machinery if we can help it. We prefer doing things the old way, by hand. It feels more right. Our neighbors often stop by to get fresh milk in the mornings. We like that connection. It’s a busy life, seven days a week. There are no holidays when you have animals to look after. But it’s a good life. We’ve been here for generations, and we plan to stay. It’s not just a business to us, it’s our home and our livelihood combined into one single thing.
