You can find us over at 1/41 on Dariy Street, which is quite close to Panruti. It’s a small street and sometimes the GPS gets a bit confused, but once you’re here, it’s pretty straightforward. Annapurna Agro Biotch India is really just a group of us working on things related to the local farms and soil. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers who come by with questions or just to see what’s new. The office has that earthy smell because we’re always testing things or looking at seeds. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass walls or anything. We have wooden benches and a lot of old posters about crops. Sometimes we have to go out into the fields ourselves to see how things are growing. Panruti is a good area for this because everyone around here is connected to the land in some way. We try to be helpful when people walk in, even if they just want to chat about the weather or the price of fertilizers. Our paperwork is mostly hand-written notes and a few files stored in a metal cabinet that squeaks every time you open it. It’s a simple way of living and working. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help the local folks get a better harvest this year. It keeps us busy and we like the routine of the seasons.
