Panchayat Union Primary School

We are the Panchayat Union Primary School here on the Sh-141. If you are driving down the Pennadam Virudhachalam Road, you have probably seen our gate. It is a simple place where local kids come to learn. The building has been here for a while and shows its age in some spots, but it does the job. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we know the families. Every morning, the children walk in from the surrounding areas. Some come on cycles. It gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up off the road, but we keep the classrooms as tidy as possible. We have the basic stuff like desks and blackboards. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider to let the light in. It is not fancy. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids understand their books. Lunchtime is usually the loudest part of the day when everyone is out in the yard. We have some trees that give decent shade during the hotter months. It is just a regular school doing what schools do on this stretch of the road. People know us, and we know them. That is how it has been for years now. We don't have much in the way of big signs or anything. Just the name on the wall. It works for the community here, and we are fine with that.
