Periwinkle Pre School

Periwinkle Pre School is up on the second floor of a building in Saraswathi Nagar, right here in Tirukannur. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it keeps us away from the street noise. Being in Pondicherry, it gets warm, so we keep the fans going all day. The space isn't huge, but it's enough for the toddlers and little kids who come here. We have different corners set up for blocks, drawing, and nap time. It’s mostly local families from around Tirukannur who bring their children to us. We’ve tried to make the place look bright with some paint and posters. It’s not a fancy institution, just a place where kids can be kids for a few hours while their parents are at work. You can hear the singing and playing from down on the street sometimes. We keep a simple schedule of snacks and play. Most of us who work here live just a few streets away, so it’s a very local vibe. We know the parents by name and usually have a quick chat at the door during pickup. It’s a small, manageable group of children. We don’t have a big playground, so we do a lot of indoor activities. It works for us and the families here. It’s just a honest little school trying to help out the community in our own way. We enjoy seeing the kids grow up.
