We are directly opposite Navodaya High School, which makes us pretty easy to spot once you're in the area. This shop started because we realized people had so many clothes they didn't wear anymore and wanted something different without spending a fortune. It’s a bit of a crowded space because we have piles of fabric and sarees everywhere, but that’s how we like it. Customers come in with their old materials and we see what can be done. It’s a lot of talking and looking at patterns all day. Sometimes the shop gets messy with all the unrolling of cloth, but we tidy up every evening before locking up. It’s mostly women from the neighborhood who drop by after dropping their kids at the school across the street. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop and a couple of us working here. It’s interesting to see the different designs people bring in. We’ve been in Kasturibaipet for a while and know most of the regulars by name now. It’s a simple business, nothing too complicated, just helping people swap and find new dress materials they actually like. It keeps us busy from morning till night and we wouldn't have it any other way.
