Maa Arts

Maa Arts is right there on Vuyyuru Zamindar Street, specifically at Dr.No. 26-16-29. We are located right beside the Rajivraj Theatre in Gandhi Nagar. It’s a great spot because of the movies. When a big film comes out, the whole street is packed with people, and we get to see all the excitement from our front door. Our shop is quite narrow, so we have to be smart about how we use the space. We have shelves going all the way up to the ceiling. Most of the time, we are working on boards or painting letters for local shops. It’s a hands-on job and our fingers are usually stained with some kind of ink or paint by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just look at the walls or the projects we are currently working on. Sometimes we sit outside on stools when it’s too hot inside. We’ve known the neighbors for years, so there is a lot of chatting going on while we work. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just take the orders as they come and try to get them done properly. If someone is in a rush, we might stay up late to finish it. We’ve been part of this street for a long time and we just like being the local spot for these kinds of things. It’s just us doing our bit.
