Mp Iron Industries

If you head down to the industrial area near the old Pittal Mill, you will find Mp Iron Industries. It is an older part of the district, and the buildings around here have a lot of character, mostly in the form of rusted gates and worn-out brickwork. We work with iron, which is heavy and can be quite messy. The shop floor is usually covered in metal scraps and iron dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. We have a few heavy machines that make a lot of racket when they are running, so it is never a quiet day here. It’s a tough job and the summers are particularly hard because the heat from the metal makes the whole place feel like an oven. We are just a group of local people who know how to handle iron. We don't have any marketing brochures or a polished sales pitch. If someone needs something made or some iron processed, they just come by and tell us what they are looking for. We write down the details on whatever scrap of paper is handy. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we don't see any reason to change how we operate. Most of our tools are hand-me-downs or things we’ve fixed ourselves over the years. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We value hard work and getting the job done without complaining too much about the sweat and the dirt.
