Krishna Stones

Being located on Bareth Road in Ganjbasoda means we deal with a lot of noise and dust every single day. The dharam kanta is right next to us, so there is a constant stream of heavy trucks pulling in and out to get weighed. It keeps the area busy, though it makes it hard to keep the office clean. We have our stone slabs stacked up in the yard behind the main gate. I usually sit in a small cabin with a tin roof that gets incredibly hot during the summer months. My hands are always covered in a fine layer of white grit from handling the samples. We don't use computers much here; I prefer writing everything down in a thick blue ledger book that sits on my desk. When a customer comes by, we walk through the stacks and I show them what we have available at the moment. Some pieces have rough edges or odd shapes, but that is the nature of the stone. If it starts to rain, the yard becomes a bit of a muddy mess, and we have to be careful moving the heavier blocks. It is a tough, physical job, and by the end of the day, I am usually pretty exhausted. We have been in this spot for a long time now, and most of the local builders know where to find us.
