Marimuthu Dhall Mill

This mill is situated at 11-57-9 on Heber Road in the Bhima Nagar area. It’s a place where things are always moving. We deal with dhall, which means there is a lot of heavy lifting involved with the sacks. The machinery is old but it works well enough for what we need to do. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We start early, get the rollers going, and the whole building shakes a little bit. You can smell the earthiness of the pulses throughout the street. Heber Road is usually busy with traffic, so we have to be careful when the trucks come to load or unload the stock. There isn't much space for parking, which can be a headache. Inside, it's mostly just us working away, covered in a bit of flour and grit. We don't have a fancy office or a receptionist. If someone wants to talk to us, they just come to the front and shout over the noise of the machines. It’s a practical business. We focus on getting the processing done right so the product is clean. Sometimes we have to stop and clear a jam in the equipment, which takes time and gets greasy. We’ve been part of Bhima Nagar for years, and most people around here know the sound of our mill. It is just a regular job that needs to be done every single day to keep things moving along for everyone.
