We are over on Kosa Annamalai Street in the Ambaburam area of Vellore. It is an old spot and the building has its own quirks that we just live with. Bssk Academy started because we noticed folks around here needed a place to study that was not just a stuffy library or a crowded room at home. We have got a few basic rooms, some ceiling fans that rattle a bit when it gets really hot in the afternoon, and enough chairs for whoever shows up. It is mostly just us trying to help people get through their exams or learn something new without too much fuss. Sometimes the traffic outside on the street gets pretty loud and distracts everyone, but we manage to keep things moving. We are not some big chain or anything fancy. It is just a few of us here every day, opening the doors early and making sure there is enough chalk and paper for the lessons. People come from different parts of town, some walk from nearby and others take the bus. We spend a lot of time looking over books and trying to explain things until they finally click for the students. It is not always easy and the days can get long, especially when the weather is humid. But we like being part of the neighborhood here. We have been at this address for a while now and most people around know where to find us. No big signs, just the work.
