Beauti World Expo

We are over here on Thiruvalluvar Street in Katpadi. It’s a busy spot in Tharapadavedu and mostly we’re just busy with the daily stuff that comes with running Beauti World Expo. People walk in and out all day asking about things. Some days the weather is really hot so we keep the fans going full blast. We’ve been at number 41 for a while now. It isn't a fancy place but it works for what we do. My cousin helps out sometimes when things get really crowded. We spend a lot of time organizing boxes and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a bit while we work. It’s just how things go around here. You know how it is in a local place. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just the shop floor and some storage in the back. Usually, I'm the one opening up in the morning before the sun gets too high. There’s always something to fix or move around. It's not a quiet job but the pace of it keeps us moving. If you’re ever near Katpadi you probably passed our street without even thinking about it. We’re just part of the neighborhood doing our thing day in and day out. It gets a bit dusty with the traffic outside but that’s normal for this area.
