Nisarga Fresh

We are over at Shop No- 2 in the Thomas Smruti Building in Nallasopara West. D'Silva Nagar is a quiet enough area, but our mornings start pretty early. Usually, the trucks get here before the sun is even up. We spend a lot of time just sorting through crates of tomatoes and greens to make sure nothing is bruised. It’s a small shop, so we have to be smart about where we put things. Most of the folks who come in are regulars from the buildings nearby. They know us by name, and we know who likes their bananas a bit green or who wants the freshest coriander. The floor gets a bit muddy when it rains, and we’re always sweeping out bits of onion skins. We didn't really have a big plan when we opened Nisarga Fresh, we just knew people around here needed a place to get their daily stuff without trekking too far. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is getting home from work. Sometimes we run out of things faster than we expect. We just try to keep the shelves full and the prices fair. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. The building is easy to find if you’re walking down the main road in Nallasopara. We usually close up once the last of the milk is gone or the sun goes down. It's a simple life and we like being part of this little community.
