Tara Exports

Our place is located at D 61/24 E-1k in Tara Niketan, which is over in Sidhgiri Bag. Tara Exports is not one of those big corporations with a shiny glass building and a lobby. It is just our small office where we manage the export side of things. The area is usually quite crowded, and sometimes it is a real struggle to find a spot for a bike or a car in the narrow lanes. We have been set up in this spot for a long time. Most of our day is spent on the telephone or going through long lists of goods. There is a lot of paper involved in this kind of business. We try our best to keep everything organized, but it is common for the desks to get buried under folders and notes. It’s a local operation, so we know most of the neighbors and shopkeepers around here. Sidhgiri Bag has its own specific rhythm, and we just fit into it. We take care of whatever orders come in and get them sent out. It’s steady work and keeps us occupied from morning till night. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the transporters to arrive. The building is an older one, but it does the job just fine for us. We don’t really do fancy meetings or presentations. Most things are just sorted out right there on the floor. It is just us doing what we have always done.
