Shivam General And Provision Store

My shop is right on Mahmoorganj Road in Sigra, Shop No-1. It’s a busy spot in Varanasi. I’ve lived around here forever, so opening a provision store felt like the right thing to do. We have all the basic stuff like flour, pulses, and soaps. It’s not a huge place, so the bags of rice are often stacked up near the entrance. I try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it can get a bit cluttered. People from the neighborhood come in for their monthly rations or just a single packet of salt. I’m usually sitting behind the old wooden counter. The traffic on Mahmoorganj Road is always noisy, but you get used to it after a few years. We get a lot of regulars who stop to chat for a bit while I weigh out their sugar. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the old torch to find things on the top shelves. It’s just how things are here. I don't really have a big staff, mostly just me and my nephew helping out when school is off. We try to keep what people ask for most. If we run out of something, I write it down in a small notebook and try to get it by the next day. It’s a quiet business mostly, just serving the people who live nearby in Sigra. Nothing fancy, just a regular store. The floors need a sweep every hour because of the dust, but I do my best to keep it decent.
