Sangam Sarees

We are located at D 60/85-A in Chotigaibi. Sangam Sarees is a small place, but we pack a lot into it. Every morning, I sweep the front and make sure the glass on the counters is clean. Chotigaibi is a local area, so we see a lot of the same faces walking by every day. The sarees are arranged by color and type, though sometimes things get mixed up when we are busy. I like the way the shop looks when everything is put away, but that doesn't last long once the first few customers come in. We have a small stool in the corner where I sit when there’s a lull in the day. The building itself is older, and you can see that in the corners of the ceiling and the way the door creaks. We don't use any fancy computer systems here; we mostly just write things down and keep track of our stock by looking at the shelves. It’s a practical way of doing things. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoon, and we just have to sit near the fan. It is just me and another person most days, keeping the shop running. We don't do anything special, just show the sarees and help people find what they need for their families or for themselves. It is a quiet way to spend the day in Chotigaibi.
