Musa Sarees

At Musa Sarees, we are located at A 29/63 in Hanuman Phatak, right in the Pili Kothi area. This part of town is famous for fabrics and we have been right in the middle of it for a long time. The shop is small and can get a bit stuffy when there are too many people, but that is just how these old buildings are. We keep a lot of sarees piled up on the wooden counters. Most of them are the traditional styles that people in this neighborhood prefer. You won't find anything too modern or strange here, just the regular stuff that mothers and grandmothers like to wear. The area around Hanuman Phatak is always crowded with rickshaws and people carrying bundles of cloth. Sometimes it is hard to hear yourself think over the noise from the street, but we don't mind it much anymore. It’s a family-run kind of thing where we all know what needs to be done. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people can come and feel the cloth. We open up early and stay late, especially when there are weddings coming up. The light in the shop isn't the best, so sometimes we have to take the fabric out to the doorway to show the real color in the sun. It’s a simple way to work but it has worked for us for years. We just keep our heads down and sell what we have because that is what we know how to do.
