Janta Store

Janta Store is situated right in the middle of Khojwa Bazar on Khojwa Road. We are close to Stv, which is a landmark most people in this part of Varanasi know well. This market is a very lively place, always filled with the sounds of people talking and bells ringing. Our shop is a straightforward general store where we keep all the things you might need for your house. We’ve got different kinds of grains, spices for cooking, and other daily necessities. The space is small and we’ve got items stacked up high on the walls. We don't have any fancy lighting or modern displays. It’s just a traditional shop where you come in and tell us what you need. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and cleaning the jars. It’s mostly just us working here, so we handle everything from the sales to the cleaning. We know a lot of the local people because they come in every week for their groceries. We aren't trying to compete with the big stores. We just want to be a reliable place for the people in Khojwa to get their basics. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when the bazaar gets really crowded, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a simple business, but it’s ours and we take pride in just being here every day for our customers. That’s really all there is to it.
