K. Zzama Silk Emporium

K. Zzama Silk Emporium is over at J 33/71 A in Kachchi Bagh, Jaitpura. It’s a bit of a walk to get here if you aren't familiar with the area, but it’s a lively neighborhood once you arrive. We have been in this building for many years now. It’s an old place with high ceilings and stairs that have been worn down by all the people walking up and down them. We spend our time checking over things and keeping track of everything that comes in. It’s a lot of physical work and it keeps us busy from morning until night. Jaitpura has a lot of energy, and we are just one small part of the daily life here. Some days are very quiet, while others are so loud you can’t hear yourself think. We keep our operation pretty simple. We don’t use big advertisements or anything like that. People just know where we are. We drink a lot of tea and talk about what’s happening in the neighborhood while we work. It gets a bit cluttered in the office with all the items we have, but we have our own system for finding things. We just try to be honest people and keep our business running the best we can every single day. We usually close up early on festival days to be with our families.
