Jai Hariom Enterprises And General Stores is located in the Dalmandi area of Varanasi, specifically on Dalmandi Road at Asgar Katra. If you have ever been to this part of Varanasi, you know how crowded and busy it always is. The lanes are narrow and there is always a lot of noise and movement. Our store is right in the thick of it all. We sell all kinds of general items that people need for their homes. From cleaning supplies to basic food items, we try to keep a bit of everything. Because the shop is in such an old part of the city, the space is very limited. We have to stack our goods high up on the walls to make everything fit. It can be a bit of a mess sometimes when we are looking for something specific for a customer. We have been in this location for many years and have seen the market change quite a bit. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes around and staying on our feet for long hours. We don't have any website or fancy brochures to show people. Customers just come in because they are already in the market for their other shopping. It is a very traditional way of doing business, based on knowing the people and having the right items at the right price. It gets very hot in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and keep working.
