Grofersh Ventures Private Limited

We are based at D 65/460 in the Bauliya Lahartara area. Grofersh Ventures is basically our small way of getting into the grocery world here in Varanasi. It’s a very busy part of the city. The shop is often quite crowded, especially during the evenings when everyone is out doing their errands. We deal with all kinds of different items, from big bags of rice to small personal care products like soap and shampoo. It involves a lot of manual labor, mostly carrying heavy crates and stacking tins on the shelves. Our staff is just a few local guys who know the streets and the area very well. We don't have any polished marketing plans or big slogans. We just put a sign out front and started selling things to the neighbors. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so bad that it makes it hard for the delivery vans to reach our door, which can be a real pain during the day. We just do our absolute best to keep the shelves full of the things people want. It’s definitely not a fancy mall experience; it’s a local mart where you might have to squeeze past someone else in the aisle. We know the local tastes and try to stock what people actually ask us for when they come in. The billing counter is usually where all the neighborhood gossip and talk happens. We’ve been at this for a while now and it’s just become our daily routine. We really like the hustle and bustle of Lahartara.
