G.M Sarees

If you are looking for G.M Sarees, you have to head over to J 21/83 B1 in Rasoolpura. We are right by the Jhabbu Ka Imambara in Jaitpura. It’s a historic kind of area with a lot of narrow lanes and old buildings. Our shop fits right in. It’s packed from floor to ceiling with sarees of all different kinds. We don't have a lot of floor space, so you have to be careful where you step. Usually, there are piles of silk and cotton everywhere because we are always showing someone a different pattern. The air smells a bit like incense and old paper. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the walls show it. There are marks where the furniture has bumped them over the years. We don’t mind, though. It feels like home to us. The Imambara is a good landmark, so people rarely get lost trying to find us. When it rains, the water splashes up against the door, so we have a little wooden barrier we put out. It’s just the way things are in Jaitpura. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just come in, sit on the stools, and we start pulling down boxes. It takes time to find the right saree, and we don’t like to hurry anyone along. It’s a slow process, but that’s how we like it. It's nice to see the families grow while we just stay here in the same old spot in Rasoolpura.
