Design 2 Theme

We are based in Ashok Puram Colony, over in the Meerapur Basahi area of Varanasi. It’s a nice part of the city, and we’re quite close to the Dih Baba Mandir. You can often hear the bells or the general sounds of the temple from where we are. We do a lot of theme-based design work here. Varanasi is a very old city, so trying to blend new designs with the traditional feel of the place is something we think about a lot. Our office is simple. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or a big sign. We just have our work tables and a lot of samples. The colony is usually quiet, which is good when we need to concentrate. We aren't some big agency from a metro city. We’re local people who live and work right here. We talk to our neighbors and understand what they like. Sometimes we walk over to the Mandir when we need a break. It’s a very grounded way of working. We don't use a lot of technical jargon. If something looks good and works well, that's what we go with. We spend our days sketching out ideas or talking to contractors about materials. It’s a bit of a slow process sometimes, but we prefer to get the details right. This place has its own rhythm and we just try to follow it.
