Barnawal General Stores

We have been operating this store in Ramkatorya for quite some time now. It’s located right on the main road in Varanasi, near that Lifestyle Agency. You probably know the spot if you live around here. It’s a busy part of town. The shop is full of all sorts of things, from household supplies to personal care items. We keep a lot of stock because the neighborhood is crowded. Sometimes the aisles feel a bit tight but that is because we want to have everything available. My brother and I manage the daily work. Every morning we start by checking what ran out the night before. Varanasi can get very hot so we keep the cold drinks ready. People come in for everything from light bulbs to packets of biscuits. It’s noisy outside with the traffic but inside we just focus on getting people what they need quickly. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. Just the physical shop on the road. We see a lot of the same people every week. It’s nice to have that connection with the locals. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when a big delivery arrives and we have to move boxes around. It’s just how a small business works. We keep going day by day. If you’re heading down the main road, stop by and grab whatever you're looking for. We're usually here from morning until the sun goes down and then some.
