You’ll find Banaras Silk Art Craft at K-49/56, Ambia Mandi in the Pilikothi area. This part of town is famous for silk, and we are right in the thick of it. Our shop isn't anything fancy. It’s a place filled with rolls of fabric and people working on looms or checking the weave. The air smells like raw silk and dye sometimes. It’s a busy place, especially when new stock comes in from the weavers. We spend our time going through the colors and patterns, making sure things look right. Being in Ambia Mandi means there’s always something happening outside, with carts moving and people shouting. It’s a traditional setup. We don't have a website or do much online stuff. People usually come to us because they know we’ve been here at this address for years. We sit on the floor mostly, spreading out the silk for customers to see. It’s how it’s always been done. The lighting isn't great, but you can see the quality of the work if you look closely. It’s a bit of a maze to get to us through the narrow lanes, but that’s just how Pilikothi is. We like being part of the local trade here. It’s hard work, and the hours are long, but we’ve got a good rhythm going and plenty of silk to keep us busy every single day.
