Ansari Cloth Centre

We have been here in Bajardia Bazar for a while now. The shop is right beside Gausia Madarsa, which makes it easy to find if you are walking through this part of town. Most days are pretty busy with people coming in to look at different fabrics. We have piles of cloth stacked up, and sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when a few families come in at once. It is a local spot where people just drop in. The street outside can be noisy, but inside we just focus on getting the right material for whatever someone is making. We do not really do much fancy stuff, just keep the shelves full of what people usually ask for. It is nice being near the madrasa because it is a familiar landmark for everyone. Sometimes we are just sitting here waiting for the next person to walk in, chatting about the weather or how the market is doing lately. The lighting isn't the brightest, but you can see the colors well enough. We keep things simple. Dealing with threads and bolts of cloth all day keeps us occupied. If you know the area, you have probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. We are just a regular part of the neighborhood, doing what we do every day. The door stays open most of the time so people can see what is new on the racks. It is just how things are here.
