Awadh Traders

Our business, Awadh Traders, is based in the village of Aharak, right by the Jamalpur post office. We are quite close to the airport, so we hear the planes taking off and landing all day long. It is a busy little spot and we have been here for a good while now. The building we use is just a plain one with enough room for our inventory and a small corner for the paperwork. We deal with various trading items and most of our time goes into checking the stock as it arrives on the lorries. It can get a bit chaotic when three trucks show up at the same time, but we just roll up our sleeves and get to it. The road outside can get muddy during the rainy season which makes things a bit slower, but we don't mind much. We have a small team of local guys who help with the heavy lifting and the sorting. We keep a pot of tea going most of the day because someone is always stopping by for a chat or to check on an order. It is not a corporate setup by any means; we just use what we have and keep things moving. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It is a practical way to earn a living and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood.
