Aman General & Provision Stores

Our shop, Aman General & Provision Stores, is right in the middle of Pandey Katra. Teliyabag is a crowded part of Varanasi, and being on the Main Road means there’s never a quiet moment. You can hear the rickshaws and the people shouting all day long. The store itself is packed with sacks of flour and different kinds of lentils. We try to keep things organized, but in a small space like this, items tend to pile up. The shelves are made of wood and they’ve seen better days, showing some wear and tear at the edges. I spend my mornings checking the inventory and making sure we have enough milk and curd for the early buyers. Varanasi weather can be tough on the goods, so we have to watch out for the humidity. Most of our regulars live in the nearby lanes and they’ve been coming here for years. We don't have any flashy signs or bright lights. It's just a regular shop where you can find spices, tea, and daily groceries. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use a handheld torch to find things at the back. It’s just the way things are around here. We handle things ourselves, from carrying the heavy bags to counting change. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it's boiling outside. It's just a basic place serving the local community in Teliyabag.
