Akriti Bim Engineer

Akriti Bim Engineer is based in Varanasi, over in the Shivpur area. We are located right by the Varanasi By Pass. Being near the bypass means there are always a lot of trucks and cars moving past. It is a fast-growing part of the city. We work on engineering drawings and BIM models, which basically means we spend a lot of time on our computers. The office is a simple setup with a few desks and some good internet, which is all we really need. It gets quite hot in Varanasi during the summer, so we have a couple of fans going all day long. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees. We are just a few people who know our way around technical software. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to take a break, which is when we usually go out for some tea. Shivpur has its own character, a bit different from the main temple areas of the city. We have lived and worked here for a long time. Our days are filled with looking at 3D models and making sure the measurements are right. It is a lot of detail work that requires a bit of patience. We don't have any promotional flyers or anything like that. People in the industry know we are here and they reach out when they have work. It is a steady, quiet way to earn a living.
