About West Coast Engineers – Builders & Developers in Vapi
Our shop is tucked away at 318/6A in the 40 Shed Area of G.I.D.C. You can usually smell the cutting oil before you even see the sign on the door. Instead of fancy glass walls, we just have corrugated metal and a hard concrete floor that’s seen better days. Because it gets so stuffy by noon, the guys like to start their shift as early as possible. We handle all the small engineering bits that keep the bigger factories in the area running. In the corner, there is a pile of scrap metal that we really need to clear out one of these days. Slow days are for maintenance, but most of the time we are rushing to meet a deadline for a local client. Power cuts happen a lot in this part of the industrial area, so we keep a backup generator ready. Having used the same tools for years, we know exactly how each one handles. The floors get slippery with grease sometimes, which is just part of the deal when you're working with machines. At lunchtime, we usually just sit on some empty crates and talk. Being in G.I.D.C. means there’s always a neighbor who needs a frame welded or a bolt replaced. Advertising isn't something we spend money on because word of mouth works better for us. It is just how things go in the shed area every single day, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
