If you go down Nanda Road in the Vapi Industrial Estate, you will find us right beside the Ropel Pharmacy College. Our school, Vapinagar Panchayat Education Trust Sanchalit High School, is in a very busy part of Valsad, 396195. There are factories all around, so there is always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. It is not the quietest place for a school, but it is where the people are. The students mostly come from the families who work in the industries nearby. The building is a solid structure, but it gets very humid here because we are so close to the coast. We spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working because it gets very sticky in the afternoons. Our staff room is always a bit cluttered with textbooks and old exam papers. We have to coordinate a lot because we share the area with other institutions like the pharmacy college. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when everyone is arriving or leaving at the same time. We don't have much in the way of gardens or grass, it is mostly concrete around here. We focus on the high school curriculum and trying to prepare the kids for whatever comes next, whether it is more study or starting work. It is a practical, no-nonsense environment in a very busy industrial town. We've been here for a while, just doing our part for the local kids in the middle of all this industry.
