St.Thomas English Medium School

St.Thomas English Medium School is located inside the Mar Thom Mission Compound on Daman Road. We are in the Chala area of Valsad, 396191. It’s a bit of a long name for a place, but we just call it the mission school mostly. The compound has some trees and it’s a bit set back from the main road, which is nice because Daman Road can get pretty busy with traffic. We’ve got the usual classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to play during their breaks. It isn't a luxury school with a pool or anything like that. It’s just a solid building where we teach in English. The walls are painted a simple color and there’s always a bit of dust because of the construction that seems to be happening nearby all the time. Our office is small and usually filled with stacks of notebooks that need grading. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they live nearby in Valsad or they know someone who already sends their kids here. It’s a pretty straightforward place. We handle the daily stuff, deal with the occasional leaky roof when the rain gets heavy, and just keep things moving. It’s a bit old-fashioned in some ways, but it works for the families in this part of town who just want a steady place for their children. Usually, the gates are closed by six in the evening once everyone finally heads back to their houses.
