Prompt Engineering Works

You can find us at Plot No 1002/2 in the third phase of the GIDC out in Vapi. It is right near Perdi village in the Valsad district. If you have ever been to this part of Gujarat, you know it is mostly factories and workshops for miles in every direction. Prompt Engineering Works is tucked in between a couple of other big sheds. The air usually smells like metal and oil around here, which is pretty much what you would expect from an industrial zone. We spend most of our time on the shop floor. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear a nice shirt because something will probably spill on it or you will catch it on a piece of equipment. We do a lot of machining and fabrication work. Some days we are busy with the lathes and other days we are just welding stuff together for local projects. It gets incredibly hot in the afternoons, so we usually try to get the heaviest work done early in the morning before the sun really hits the metal roof. We have got a small office area, but nobody really sits in there for long. We prefer being out where the tools are. It is noisy and there is always a lot of clanging going on, but that is just how we get things built. We do not have any big speeches about what we do. We just take the drawings people bring us and try to make them into real parts.
