Shells Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is located over at Plot No. 322/2-A in the 40 Shed Area of Gidc, Vapi. Vapi is a pretty humid place, so the workshop can feel quite heavy in the summer months. We are one of the many sheds in this row, and we all kind of look out for each other. Our space is filled with various engineering tools and parts that are always in different stages of being finished. There is usually grease on someone's hands and a few oil spots on the floor, which is just part of the job. We don't have a fancy lobby with chairs; if you come to visit, you will probably end up standing near one of the workbenches while we talk. The noise from the other sheds blends in with ours, making a constant hum throughout the day. We have a couple of trucks that come by regularly to pick things up. Most of the people working here live nearby and walk or ride their bikes to the plot. We don't really have a big corporate structure. If there is a problem, we just huddle up and figure it out right then and there. It is a practical way of doing things that has worked for us for a long time. We are just a group of people doing engineering work in a shed in Vapi, trying to do it right as best as we can.
