Our place is down in the 100 Shed Area of GIDC Vapi, specifically at Plot No. 638. If you know Vapi, you know how packed and active this industrial estate gets. We spend most of our daylight hours inside the shed, making sure the production line keeps moving. It’s not the quietest spot to work, with all the other factories around us humming along, but we’re used to it. The floor is usually covered in some kind of material or scraps by midday, and we clear it out every evening before locking up. We started Kezi Industries without a lot of fanfare, just focusing on the work at hand. Most of our guys have been living in this area for years, so we all know each other pretty well. We don’t have a fancy reception or anyone to answer phones in a suit. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone in overalls or with grease on their hands. The weather gets really humid here, especially in the monsoon, and the roof makes a lot of noise when it rains hard. We just keep our heads down and get the batches finished. It’s a practical life here in the GIDC. We get our raw materials delivered at the back and ship out the finished goods from the front gate. It’s been our routine for a long time now, and we do not plan on changing much. The work is steady and that is enough for us.
