Umargam Krushi Vikas Women Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Umargam Krushi Vikas Women Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based at house number 297 in Talav Faliya, which is in Saronda village. It is a local effort run by the women here in the Umbergaon taluka area. We started this because we all work in the fields anyway, so it made sense to have a proper company structure for our farming activities. The office is just a simple room where we meet to talk about the crops and the season ahead. We do not have a marketing department or anything like that. Most of what we do involves looking at seeds, talking about the soil, and figuring out how to get our produce to the market. It can be difficult balancing farm work with the paperwork needed for a private limited company, but we manage. There are many of us involved, and we all bring something different to the table. Some days are just spent sitting together and going over the accounts or planning the next harvest. It is very much a community thing. Being in Seronda, we are surrounded by the land we work on. We keep things practical and focus on what needs to be done today to make sure the next month goes smoothly. It is not always easy, but it is our own thing and we take it seriously. We handle our own chores and keep the records as best as we can.
