Sadguru Rice Mill

We are tucked away in Mahuvas Village, right near the government school where you can hear the kids during their break times. Our mill, Sadguru Rice Mill, has been a part of this Vansda Taluka landscape for a good while now. It’s not a place with big glass windows or shiny desks. Mostly, it is just the sound of the hullers running and the smell of fresh husk in the air. We spend most of our mornings waiting for the tractor trolleys to pull up from the nearby farms. The yard gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up, but that is just how it is with this kind of work. Some days the humidity makes everything feel heavy, and other days the sun is just beating down on the tin roof. We have a small crew of local men who know the machines inside out. They don’t say much, just get on with the unloading and stacking. It is a simple routine that repeats every season. You see the same faces coming through the gate, mostly neighbors and people from around the district. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the gate and the noise of the processing. It’s hard work, and by the end of the shift, everyone is covered in a bit of dust. We just focus on getting the paddy through the system without too much trouble. It is just a regular local business doing what needs to be done.
