Our place, R M Con Llp, is located at Plot 711 in the G.I.D.C. area of Umargam. Being in an industrial zone like this means it is always noisy and there is always something moving around. It is not the kind of place where you come for a quiet afternoon. There are trucks coming in and out, and the smell of manufacturing is everywhere. We like it that way because it feels like things are actually getting done. Our office is right there on the plot, and it’s pretty basic. We have some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of tools and materials scattered around. It’s an honest place where we do our work without any pretense. Umargam has a lot of businesses like ours, so we are in good company. We don't really have a public relations person or anyone to write fancy letters. We just talk to people plainly and tell them what we can do. Some days the power goes out or a delivery is late, but that is just part of being in G.I.D.C. We’ve learned to be patient and just handle things as they happen. It’s a gritty job sometimes, but we are used to it by now. We don't make big promises we can't keep. We just stay at our plot and keep working until the sun goes down and then we head home. It is a simple life of labor and getting things finished.
