Samrat Engineering Fabrication

The workshop for Samrat Engineering Fabrication is way back at Plot No. 2820 in the Gidc area. It’s a bit of a drive into the estate to find us, but we’ve been here long enough that most of the delivery drivers know the way. The shop is usually filled with the bright flashes of welding and the smell of burnt metal. We have all our gear spread out over the floor, and it can get pretty loud when several of us are working on different projects at the same time. We don’t have a fancy cooling system, so we just keep the big doors open to let whatever breeze there is come through. Sometimes a stray dog will wander in and sleep in the shade of the back wall, and we just let it be. Our equipment is a mix of stuff we bought when we started and a few things we’ve added as we needed them. It’s not a high-tech facility, just a place where we use our hands and some heavy tools to put things together. The walls are covered in old calendars and notes written in chalk about various measurements. We don’t have any polished presentations for people; we just show them what we are working on on the bench. It’s a gritty, noisy place, but it’s where we do our best work day in and day out.
