It’s a standard school setup with classrooms, a small playground, and an office area. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a local school for the families living in and around Hajipur. The mornings are always the loudest time because of all the kids arriving at once. We have teachers who have been with us for years and they know most of the parents personally. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. We focus on the regular subjects like science, math, and social studies. There isn't a lot of fancy equipment, but we make sure there are enough benches and blackboards for everyone. Sometimes we have a bit of trouble with the electricity, but that's just part of living in this area. We just deal with it and keep going. The school building is nothing special to look at, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out. We aren't interested in being a corporate institution. We just want to make sure the kids in Hajipur have a place to go and learn their lessons every day. It’s a simple, honest school that has been part of the community for a good while now. Many of our former students still drop by to say hello to the teachers sometimes.
