Jps Public School Mahnar

Our school is tucked away in Ward No 12 in Mahnar. If you’re familiar with Hajipur, you know it’s a place where everyone kind of knows what’s going on with their neighbors. We are right in the middle of the neighborhood, so we see the local life happening all around us every single day. The building itself is simple, just a few floors with classrooms that get plenty of sunlight during the morning hours. We don't have a huge campus with massive gates, but we have enough room for the kids to learn and play a bit during their breaks. In the mornings, the streets around the school get a bit tight because of all the bicycles and parents dropping off their children. You can hear the morning prayers and the bell ringing from a block away. The desks are wooden and have been used by many different groups of students over the years. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy talk here at the office. We just show up, teach the lessons, and make sure the kids are safe and doing their work. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to keep the air moving, but that’s just part of living in Mahnar. The teachers are mostly local people who care about the kids because they see them in the market or at the temple. It’s a very grounded way to run a school, and we like it that way.
