Venus Texdyes Corporation

Our place is out in the GIDC Estate in Nandesari. We occupy plots 176 and 177, so it is a decent amount of space for what we do with the dyes. Being in an industrial estate means the surroundings are mostly other factories and warehouses, so there is always a lot of activity with loading and unloading going on. The air usually has that faint metallic or chemical smell that comes with this kind of work, but we have lived with it for so long we hardly notice anymore. Venus Texdyes Corporation is really just a bunch of us working hard to get the batches right. We have the mixing areas and the storage sections all set up across the two plots. It gets pretty hot inside during the summer months, but we just keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze we can. Our office is a small partitioned area off to one side where we keep the books and handle the orders. It’s a messy business sometimes, with stains on the floors and the work clothes, but that is just part of the job. We aren't here to look pretty; we are here to produce the dyes that people need. We start early, usually before the sun is all the way up, to get a head start on the day's production. It’s a simple, hardworking life out here in Nandesari and we just stick to what we know.
