Vaibhav Beauty Saloon is right here on High Tension Road in Subhanpura. We are in the Shreenath Complex at shop number three. It’s easy to find because we are quite close to the Reliance and Indian Oil petrol pumps. I’ve lived in Vadodara my whole life, and opening this shop was just a way to make a living doing something I knew how to do. The shop is small but we keep it tidy. We have the basic stuff like hair cutting, beard trimming, and maybe some face packs if someone asks for it. It gets a bit noisy outside with the traffic on the main road, but once you’re inside, it’s not too bad. I try to keep the prices fair because I know most people in this area work hard for their money. I don't use those expensive imported creams unless someone specifically wants them. Mostly, it’s just me and maybe one other guy working the chairs. We talk about cricket or the local news while we work. It makes the day go by faster. On Sundays, we get a lot of kids coming in with their dads. It gets pretty crowded then, and there might be hair on the floor for a minute until I can get the broom out. We aren't trying to be the most famous shop in Gujarat, just a reliable one for the neighbors here in Subhanpura.
