V R Hospital

If you’re looking for us, we’re off Gendigate Road in Ghadiyali Pole, right near MS High School. It’s a very old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and it’s always loud with the sound of scooters and people shouting. Finding a place to park is almost impossible, so most people just walk or get dropped off at the corner. The hospital is tucked into a building that fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood. During school hours, you can hear the kids playing during their break, which makes the wards feel a bit less gloomy. The entrance is small, and you have to go past the pharmacy window to get to the main desk. We’ve had to repaint the walls a few times because they get scuffed up so easily with all the stretchers and carts moving around. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you aren’t used to it, with small corridors leading to different departments. The staff is used to the heat, even though we have fans spinning in every corner of the building. We see a lot of families from the surrounding poles, often three generations coming in together. It’s a very busy, slightly cramped place, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have much room for expansion, so we just make the best of the space we have to help the people who come in.
