Unique Classes

If you head down Padra Road to the 6th Cross in the 5th Stage, you will find Unique Classes at A 141. It is a place where we have been helping students with their studies for quite some time now. The building is just a regular house that we have converted into classrooms, so it has a bit of a cozy, lived-in feel to it. We have got desks squeezed into the rooms and whiteboards on the walls. It gets quite lively in the afternoons when the schools let out and the kids start arriving for their extra sessions. There is always a bit of chaos with cycles parked outside and bags being dropped everywhere. We aren't trying to be some high-tech academy; we just focus on the textbooks and making sure the students actually do their homework. It can be tiring, especially during exam season when we stay open much later than usual. The tea breaks are probably the most important part of the day for the staff here. We know the parents and we know the kids by their first names. It is a local community thing more than a big business. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open the windows for light, but we just keep going. It is just about teaching and learning in a simple way.
