Uma Laparoscopy Hospital

Vadodara is a busy city, but our corner at Uma Char Rasta feels more like a small neighborhood once you get off the main road. Being at B 7 Gajanand Society means we see the same people walking to the Motnath Vidyalay across the road every single morning at the same time. The school bell rings loudly and we know exactly what time it is without ever having to look at the clock on the wall. The laparoscopy side of the hospital is what we focus on every day, mostly because that’s what we’ve always done. The building is tucked away inside the society a bit, so you really have to look for the sign near the main gate to find us. Inside, it’s mostly quiet except for the hum of the medical machines and the occasional chatter from the people in the waiting area. We have a few plastic chairs that have seen better days, but they’re comfortable enough for the families who have to stay while their relatives are being looked after. It’s a practical place, not a fancy hotel, and we spend most of our time checking patient charts and making sure the surgical rooms are ready for the next person. Waghodia Road is usually a total mess of traffic by five o'clock in the evening, so we usually just stay inside the clinic until the rush calms down. It’s just the way life goes here at Uma Laparoscopy Hospital.
