Travel Express

Our office is tucked away in the B 10182 block of the Jig Bhav Complex in Nizampura. It is quite easy to find because we are right near the S R Patel petrol pump, which stays busy all day. Most of the time, the room is filled with the sound of the phone ringing or the printer going off. People come in looking for help with their travel plans, maybe a bus ticket or a train booking to another city. We sit at the desks and try to find what they need on the computer. It gets a little cramped when more than two people are waiting, but everyone is patient enough. The air conditioner works most of the time, but on really hot days in Vadodara, it struggles a bit. We keep some old maps on the wall and stacks of pamphlets that have been there for years. There is no big corporate feel here at all. It is just us helping out folks from the neighborhood who don't want to mess with online bookings themselves. The area around the petrol pump is always humming with scooters and cars. We stay open until the evening usually. Sometimes we stay late if someone has an emergency trip. It is a simple job of getting people from one place to another without too much fuss. We know most of the regulars by name since we’ve been here in Nizampura for a good while.
