Siddhi Travels

Siddhi Travels operates out of Vadodara Central and also has a presence near the 100 Ft Ring Road in Ahmedabad. Specifically, we are over at Janmotri Flats, which is right opposite the Panchratna Apartments in the Thaltej area. Managing travel between these two cities keeps us on our toes quite a bit. We spend a lot of time coordinating drivers and making sure the vehicles are actually where they are supposed to be. The Ring Road is always packed with traffic, so our schedules often get messed up by a stray cow or a breakdown. We have a small office space where we keep the keys and the duty rosters pinned to a corkboard. It is a bit of a messy desk situation with scraps of paper and phone numbers scribbled everywhere. The drivers often drop in for a quick cup of chai and a chat before they head out on their next route. We have to deal with all sorts of passengers, some who are in a great hurry and others who just want to sleep the whole way. The buses and cars need constant maintenance, so there is usually someone around with oily hands talking about fan belts or brakes. It is a long day that starts before the sun is up and often ends late at night when the last trip is done. We just focus on getting people where they need to go.
