You’ll find us on R C Dutt Road, which is always packed with cars and people going to the offices around here. The shop is actually in Shivalaya-2, on the first floor. You have to walk up the stairs, which can be a bit tiring if you’re not used to it. The room isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit in everything we need for hair and skin stuff. It’s a bit cooler inside than it is out on the street, which is a relief in the summer. I spent a lot of time getting the chairs in the right spot so the light hits the mirrors okay. There’s a lot of noise coming from the road outside, but once you’re sitting down, you kind of get used to it. I usually have the radio playing quietly in the corner to drown out the traffic. Most of our regulars are women who work in the nearby buildings or live in the 390001 area. They stop by for a quick fix before they head home. The place is functional. We’ve got shelves with different lotions and hair colors, though they aren't always perfectly organized. Sometimes the door sticks a little when it’s humid, so you have to give it a good push. It’s just a regular workplace where we spend most of our day. We don’t do anything too fancy, just the normal beauty work that people need to get done.
