Sonali Beauty Parlour

I run Sonali Beauty Parlour. We are located in Vasia, which is out on the edge of Vadodara. It’s a bit quieter out here than in the center of the city, which I think is a nice change. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so opening the parlour here felt like the natural thing to do. It’s not a giant place with fifty employees. It’s just me and a small space where I can work. I’ve set it up so it feels okay for anyone who walks in. Vasia is a growing place, but it still has that village feel where everyone knows each other’s business. I like that. You don’t get lost in the crowd here. Most of the people who come to see me are from right around the corner. They’ve been coming for years. I don’t use any of those big corporate words to describe what I do. I just do beauty work. It’s what I know. Sometimes it gets busy, especially when there’s a wedding or a festival in town, and other times it’s just quiet and I sit and wait for the next person. That’s just the way it goes. I don’t have a big fancy sign, just the name on the door. It’s enough for the local people to find me. I’ve been happy here in Vasia. It’s a good community and I’m glad to be a small part of it. I just keep things simple and honest every day as I open the doors.
