Siddhi Farsan Mart

Siddhi Farsan Mart sits right at the corner where R V Desai Road meets S V Road. It’s a noisy intersection, so there is always the sound of horns and traffic while we work. We focus on making farsan, the kind of snacks people take home for tea or for their kids. The shop is small and crowded with big bags of ingredients and containers full of finished snacks. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us doing the cooking and the serving. On festival days, the line goes out the door and we barely have time to breathe, but usually, it’s just a steady stream of locals. We don't use any high-tech systems here, just a simple scale and a cash drawer. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the fryers to worry about that. Working on R V Desai Road means we are right in the thick of things. We see people heading home from work every day, stopping by to grab a quick bag of something salty. It is honest work and it keeps us on our feet all day. We don't really bother with advertisements because everyone in the area knows where we are and what we sell. We just keep the stoves going and make sure the jars stay full for whoever walks through the door next.
